It's not just pigs who hunt truffles!

This 4 day course will teach you and your dog how to hunt for truffles.  The course will focus on how to imprint the scent, build focus and motivation to search, understand the environment in which you will be hunting and how to harvest the truffles.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with your dog in a very rewarding activity!

You will receive a truffle hunting kit and the opportunity to put your new skills into practice in a truffle orchard.

Just completed the week long course which has been one of the best courses I have attended. There was a mix of theory and practice with our dogs, and it was fantastic to see the progress the dogs made through the week which culminated with working in an orchard. Gwen, ably assisted by Dave, had thoroughly researched, organised and presented the course, making us all truffle geeks! The training venue was ideal with the fellow participants providing a fun and memorable experience. I thoroughly recommend the course.

We had a whale of a time at the Truffle dog course this week! Fascinating to watch all the dogs progress over the week and become so proficient at the task in hand . As always Gwen and Dave organised things to a T ,with extra treats thrown in like bacon rolls in the morning and a wonderful BBQ on day 5! We now wait impatiently for Truffle season to begin, when we'll put our learning to the test for real...can't wait!!
